PURPOSE:To enable highly accurate turning processing to be achieved by making the rotational speed of a main shaft variable depending upon whether rough processing or finish processing is required in a turning process. CONSTITUTION:A cutter blade TB is located apart by l from a work WK before start of turning. In case the rotational speed of a main shaft is high, the rotation angle is larger compared with a lower speed case. By making an approach distance dL occurring from the generation of the one revolution signal to turning initiation smaller than an approach distance ds in case of a lower speed, turning starting positions at higher and lower speeds can be made equal to each other. |
