PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable effective use of the record area in the recording medium in an information recording device and information reproducing device, which record information into a recording medium such as a disk having a plurality of clusters composed of a data area and a link area to then reproduce the information. SOLUTION: The information reproducing device and information reproducing method comprise a control means controlling an address recorded in the whole of the recording medium such as a disk, and a recording means recording input information into the recording medium. When recording a large quantity of information extending over a plurality of clusters, the input information recorded into the link area locating on the way over the clusters and the record area of the recording medium such as the disk is effectively used. Since the link area is placed around the boundary line between information and information, individual information can be freely rewritten.
