PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to automatically select a most suitable communication application in consideration of connection environment for every user so that most suitable and smooth communication can be provided. SOLUTION: Every user, through a client terminal 2, registers own connection environment with a database 4 of a communication server device 3. The communication server 3, when a user designates a communication application, by using the communication application that has been designated by the user, retrieves, from the database 4, another user with whom the user can communicate, and interconnects the user and another user via the communication application that has been designated by the user. Thereby, most suitable and smooth communication can be provided.
