<p>Disclosed is a remote control device and method through recognizing diagrams in which after the motion of an object is recognized and photographed, an image data for the photographed object is compared with a predefined geometric figure data of a specific pattern and the result of the comparison is analyzed to generate a control signal, thereby remotely controlling various electronic devices through only a simple motion of a user. According to the present invention, it is not required to use a typical remote controller using an IR or RF signal and a user need not make a voice by himself or herself for a speech recognition controller. Moreover, the user can easily control various electronic devices such as a television set (TV), a lamp, etc., by taking only a simple motion of a specific pattern even at a dark place.</p> |
