PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the plug of a camera accessory from coming off a connection socket. SOLUTION: This conversion adapter 20 has a flexible cable 23. The cable 23 has the plug 21 at its one end and a jack 22 at the other end. The jack 22 is provided with a clip. The plug 21 is connected to the connection socket 12 of the camera 10. A release switch device 40, which can not be directly connected to the camera 10, is connected to the jack 23. A strap 30 is held by the clip and the jack 22 is attached to the strap 30. The cable 23 is long enough to prevent the displacement of the jack 22 from being transmitted to the plug 21 even when the jack 22 is somewhat displaced. Then, the jack 22 is attached so that the device 40 may be on the rear side of the camera 10.
