PURPOSE: A voice news service system and method is provided to enable a user to receive real time voice data or to download voice file on contents of a newspaper or a magazine so that the user can listen to voice on the contents of printed media in a narrow space. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a server communication module(320), a voice news selection module(330), a control module(310), a user authentication module(340), and databases(360). The server communication module(320), connected to a user terminal over the internet, offers voice news or advertisement, and receives setting data from the user terminal. The voice news selection module(330) analyzes the setting data to be received from the user terminal, for example, a subject, an occurrence time or a news source. The control module(310) reads the voice news or the advertisement, determined by the voice news selection module(330), from the databases(360), and transmits the read voice news or advertisement to the user terminal via a CGI(Common Gateway Interface). The user authentication module(340) checks a user ID and a password for authenticating an accessing user. The databases(360) include a member management database(364), an advertisement management database(362), a voice news database(366), a reservation management database(368) and a music database(369). The advertisement management database(362) stores data on an advertiser, advertisement and an identification code. The voice news database(366) stores voice news with an identification code and an occurrence date.
