PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a 1st password code for a user oneself from being known when a 2nd password for a substitute is registered. SOLUTION: In the automatic transaction system wherein a host computer 4 which stores the 1st password code for account transactions, an ATM 7 where the user makes account transactions, and a personal computer 2 that the user oneself operates are connected through a line, the host computer 4 can set and register the 2nd password code to which transaction restrictions can be added while relating it to user account information; when the 2nd password code is set, a permissible number area except the 1st password code is generated and the 2nd password code selected from the permissible number area is stored on the side of the host computer 4. When the 2nd password code is inputted from the ATM 7, only transactions allowed in relation to the 2nd password code are enabled. |
