PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swing device for an attachment of construction machinery, which is provided with a brake mechanism dispensing with a separate power mechanism, preventing a braking force from varying due to abrasion of a slidable contact member, and preventing a base part or a swing part from being deteriorated and damaged with time. SOLUTION: In the swing device 1 for the attachment 2 mounted on an arm of the construction machinery, a turning rack 9 is provided in one of the base part 5 and the swing part 6, which are swingably coupled together, and a braking gear 3 is provided in the outer one of them. The braking gear 3, which makes turning regulated in a damping direction by a turning regulating force, is meshed with the turning rack 9 so as to regulate a swing of the swing part 6 with respect to the base part 5 and prevent the swing in the user of the attachment 2.
