METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING INK JET RECORDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an information recording material having good coating quality and a higher performance with good productivity by preventing occurrence of a visually recognizable craze in an ink acceptive layer caused by a multilayer simultaneous coating method by curtain-coating in the case of manufacturing an ink jet recording material by applying curtain coating of a coating film made of a plurality of layers each containing a cationic inorganic oxide particles in a coating liquid of the uppermost layer on the support. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the ink jet recording material comprises the steps of forming at least two ink acceptive layers by curtain- coating of the coating film made of the plurality of the layers on the support. In the method, the coating liquid of the uppermost layer for constituting the coating film made of the plurality of the layers to be curtain-coated contains a cationic inorganic oxide particles and a polyethylene glycol having a mean molecular weight of 8,000 or more.
