PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, applicable without using oral administration and exhibiting excellent treatment result comparable or superior to conventional agents. SOLUTION: This pharmaceutical composition administered by a transdermal drug delivery system and effective for the treatment of the erectile dysfunction of male animals including human is produced by using an organic nitrous acid lower alkyl ester as an active component in combination with one or more pharmacologically or theriatrically permissible inert nontoxic excipient or carrier.
