<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and efficiently compost ecological wastes, such as garbage, by utilizing superthermophilic bacteria without adversely affecting the environment. SOLUTION: This equipment has an adiabatic structure and has high-velocity agitating mechanisms 12, 13 and 14. The compost into which the many superthermophilic bacteria are incorporated to the extent of permitting the elevation of the temperature in a hermetically closable high-temperature vessel 8 and high-energy nutrient sources are fed. The compost is subjected to splashing and contacting of the nutrient sources and the bacteria in this vessel by the high-velocity agitation in a hermetic state, by which the superthermophilic bacteria are proliferated and the temperature in the high-temperature vessel 8 is elevated. When the temperature in the high-temperature vessel 8 exceeds 100 deg.C, the ecological wastes are fed into the high-temperature vessel 8 and the cell membranes, cell walls, tissue, or the like, of the ecological wastes are decomposed by the simultaneous effects of the high temperature under the high pressure, the high-velocity agitation and the fermentation by the superthermophilic bacteria, by which the ecological wastes are composed and the temperature in the high-temperature vessel is maintained at a temperature at which only the superthermophilic bacteria survive, thus the sterilization of bacteria, such as putrefactive bacteria, exclusive of the superthermophilic bacteria is effected.</p> |
