<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance productivity of outer surface drum scanning image recording employing light source groups arranged two-dimensionally by performing continuous sub-scanning. SOLUTION: A recording medium is placed on the outer surface of a drum rotating at a constant speed and exposed by performing main scanning by a light source group arranged two-dimensionally and then sub-scanning is performed by moving the light source group, at a constant speed, in the direction substantially perpendicular to the main scanning direction thus recording an image on the recording medium. In such an imaging method, the light from the light source group for exposing the recording medium is deflected in the direction inclining by a specified angleθagainst the main scanning direction in accordance with the main scanning direction and sub-scanning direction of the recording medium with respect to the light source group.</p> |
