<p>Polyolefins contain up to 40%, preferably 10-30% w/w of filler relative to the mixture, metallised by chemical reduction, and possibly subsequently treated galvanically. Metallisation decreases the permeability of the polyolefin considerably, and increases rigidity, whilst other properties e.g. chemical resistance are unchanged. Also, due to metallisation, the recipients acquire a very decorative scratch-resistant surface. They can be varnished.</p> |
