A breast implant based on alginates or other filler materials, is produced by forming a data model of the chest using a 3D scanner and/or another picture process, and using the model to produce a mold for the implant. The alginate is hardened using a reaction agent, so the molding has elastic properties. The hardening takes place in the mold, and the implant has a sponge like consistency.
