<p>An advertisement included in a broadcast data relating to selectable video on demand (VoD) programs, is transmitted to a broadcast data receiver prior to selection by an user. A hard disk drive of the receiver stores advertisement included in the data that is retrievable for viewing, if the VoD programs are selected by the user of the VoD system.
