PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing instrument, capable of easily removing a tail plug from the end of a barrel and sufficiently suppressing the damage of the collar part of the plug or the end of the barrel. SOLUTION: The writing instrument 1 comprises the barrel 2 in which an ink is contained therein, and the tail plug 3 detachably provided by engaging the plug with the rear end opening of the barrel 2. A large-diameter part 2a and a small-diameter part 2b are provided via a stepped part 2c on the outer surface of the barrel 2. The collar part 3a contacted with the rear end of the barrel 2 and radially outward protruded from the outer surface of the rear end of the barrel 2, is provided on the outer surface of the plug 3. A gap 5 for forcibly opening is formed between the collar part 3a and the stepped part 2c. |
