PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device capable of surely preventing the damage or the deterioration of the component members of the device by accurately detecting the double feeding of a recording medium even when the recording material is doubly fed as the heating device where the recording medium P carrying an image T is heated by a heating body 305 turned on when power is supplied while the recording medium P is made to pass through a nip part N between a fixing body 303 and a pressure body 302, or an image forming device equipped with the heating device. SOLUTION: A plurality of temperature detecting bodies to detect the temperature of the fixing body or the heating body are arranged at different positions in a direction orthogonal to the feeding direction of the recording medium, and at least one temperature detecting body detects the temperature change ΔT of the fixing body or the heating body within a specified time while the recording medium P passes through the nip part N and compares the temperature change ΔT with a reference value, whereby the double feeding of the recording medium is detected. When the double feeding is detected, power supply to the heating body is turned off or made low. |
