PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the execution structure of a flat building material where an application start position can be set to a desired position and mounting operation details can be simplified, and to provide the flat building material that is suited for application to the structure. SOLUTION: An insertion section 11 of a locking member 10 is inserted into a groove 8 on the rear surface of the flat building member 1 to fit the locking member into the flat building material 1. Since a projecting piece section 13a projects sideways (including upper section), the projecting piece section 13a is fixed by a nail 15. The flat building material 1 is spread successively, and the nail 15 for fixing the flat building material 1 being spread before is covered with the flat building material 1 to be spread later.
