<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To renew display from the display screen of a display device by using an input device, such as electronic pen having a constitution which is electrically and mechanically simple. SOLUTION: This display device is provided with leads (contact electrodes) 103 for every pixel on its display screen. Each contact electrode 103 is connected to a row electrode or a column electrode, which applies voltage to ferroelectric high-molecular liquid crystal, and when the contactor 118 of an electronic pen in which a power source is incorporated is brought into contact with the contact electrode 103, a voltage is applied between a row electrode and a column electrode through the contact electrode 103. As a result, the alignment of the ferroelectric polymer liquid crystal is changed and the display is renewed.</p> |
