PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processor for electronic endoscope with which a sharp still picture without shake can be photographed corresponding to a desired moment when imaging the freeze image of an observation part. SOLUTION: The processor for electronic endoscope has an illumination part and an imaging means with which the image of the observation part is imaged by storing electric charges corresponding to an optical image formed on a light receiving plane only when the observation part is illuminated during a prescribed storage enable period, on the top end. Then, this processor has a first light emitting means for emitting consecutive light, second light emitting mean for emitting stroboscopic light, light quantity control means for controlling the light quantity of light flux radiated from the first light emitting means so that the lightness of an image to be imaged can be come prescribed lightness, light guide means for guiding the consecutive light or stroboscopic light to the illumination part, and stroboscopic light emitting time control means for controlling the light emitting time of the second light emitting means corresponding to control in the light quantity control means.
