PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server for managing equipment necessitating exchangeable or suppliable consumables capable of judging the adequacy to exchange the consumables with new consumables when the consumables are expended. SOLUTION: A server 5 as an equipment managing server is provided with: a communicating part 51 for receiving information transmitted from at least one image forming device 21; a storage part 54 for storing a result set on the basis of whether it is necessary to exchange consumables 6 with respect to the received information contents; and an arithmetic processing part 52 for judging whether the received information relates to the exchange of the consumables 6 and for conducting the processing as to whether the implementation of an operation to the image forming device 21 is allowable when the exchange of the consumables 6 is required. The communicating part 51 informs the image forming device 21 of the processing result.
