摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the usability of a digital camera which processes image data to remove deterioration in picture quality during photographing. SOLUTION: The digital camera is provided with an image improvement mode wherein the image data are processed for picture quality deterioration removal to improve the picture quality. The digital camera decides whether the picture quality is improved by the performing the deterioration removal processing in the picture quality improvement mode and processes the image data for deterioration removal only when the picture quality is improved. A user is allowed to decide whether the deterioration removal processing is to be performed.
