PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment dispersion liquid with excellent stability in dispersing a pigment, a color paste with the excellent stability in dispersing the pigment and a color filter having a pixel with excellent transmittance, contrast and surface smoothness. SOLUTION: The pigment dispersion liquid includes a polymer with a basic aromatic ring. The color paste is prepared by using the pigment dispersion liquid. The color filter is made by using the color paste.
