PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide copper alloy for slide faster having excellent corrosion resistance, high hardness and high strength, also having excellent cold workability, and further having excellent discoloration resistance under an atmospheric environment or under various corrosive environments. SOLUTION: The copper alloy for slide fastener has a composition represented by the general formula: Cua Znb Xc (wherein, X is at least one element selected between Si and Al; a is the balance and b and c satisfy, by mass%, 10<b<35 and 0.3<c<3.5; and inevitable impurities can be contained). In addition, at least one element selected from Sn, Fe, Mn, Ti and Ni can be incorporated.
