Novel remedies for neurodegenerative diseases (in particular, agents for ameliorating motor disorder) which contain as the main component(s) selenoprotein P and/or peptide(s) of this protein. These remedies for neurodegenerative diseases (in particular, agents for ameliorating motor disorder) are appropriately usable particularly for diseases in association with depression in motor function.
