PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the engaging protuberance of the other member, which is fitted in an engaging window formed on one member, hard to move in the slipping out direction from the engaging window when a force in the direction to separate male and female members is applied under a state wherein the male and female members are connected. SOLUTION: This buckle comprises a female member 1 and a male member 2. In this case, the female member 1 is equipped with a front surface plate section 10 equipped with an engaging window 10a, and a pair of side surface plate sections 11 and 11. The male member 2 is equipped with a base section 20 which is fitted in a space between the pair of side surface plate sections 11 and 11 from the back surface side b of the female member 1. The male member 2 is also equipped with an engaging protuberance 21 which is fitted in the engaging window 10a. On the base section 20 of the male member 2 and either one of the side surface plate sections 11 of the female member 1, a protruding line 20c for engagement is formed. In this case the protruding line 20c for engagement is engaged with a protruding line 11a to be engaged, which is provided on the base section 20 of the male member 2 and the other side surface place section 11 of the female member 1. The protruding line 11a to be engaged and the protruding line 20c for engagement are formed in a manner to continue in the length direction of the male and female members 1 and 2.
