PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game medium exchange device capable of exchanging a pachinko ball that is the game medium of a pachinko machine with a medal that is the game medium of a slot machine. SOLUTION: This exchange device comprises an automatic reading part 10 for reading the number of game mediums stored in a storage medium issued by an existing counter 1 or 2, an exchange arithmetic part 11 for calculating the exchange number to the game mediums as exchange target and the number of the remaining game mediums, a payout part 12 for paying out the game mediums as exchange target, and a remaining game medium processing part 13.
