PURPOSE: A butterfly valve is provided to improve sealing efficiency and endurance at high temperature and pressure by contacting a valve disk to a zero contact point of a metal sheet with modifying the sealing structure between the metal sheet and the valve disk. CONSTITUTION: A butterfly valve is composed of a valve body(120), a rotating shaft(124) opening and closing a fluid passage(123) of the valve body, and a valve disk(126) connected to the rotating shaft to open and close the fluid passage. A metal sheet(130) is mounted on the inner periphery of the valve body, and contacted to the outer periphery of the valve disk with the zero point in opening and closing the valve disk with rotating around the rotational center of the rotating shaft. Share joint surfaces are formed in the joint portion between the valve disk and the metal sheet in closing the valve disk. Sealing efficiency and endurance are improved with preventing friction in opening and closing the valve disk.
