The invention relates to a novel class of camptothecin analogue compounds having beta-hydroxy lactone instead of the alpha-hydroxy lactone from natural camptothecin structure, which grants to the compounds a higher biological activity concerning the topoisomerase I inhibition and the antitumoral, antiviral and antiparasitic action.
