PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for customizing a storage medium such as a programmable CD-ROM. SOLUTION: This method is for customizing the storage medium having one or more recorded sessions and having a writable portion. The method is composed of the step of providing in the recorded session a program for marketing or sales of one or more products or services, the step of writing information in the writable portion pertaining to a particular user selected from a plurality of potential users of the product or the service described in the recorded session, such information including data which identifies the particular user and the step of delivering the recorded medium with the user-identified data to the particular user.
