PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that of implementation of line communication test can not be carried out without interrupting data communication between a first data terminal and a second data terminal. SOLUTION: The exchange system includes a first station exchange system 20A (a second station exchange system 21B) for storing and connection a first data terminal 21A (a second data terminal 21B), and a multiplexing circuit 31 for connecting the communication between these station exchange systems. A test pattern is multiplied into a multiplexing signal through are first station exchange system. The first station exchange system includes a first multiplexing signal exchange unit 12A for transmitting the multiplexing signal to the second station exchange system, a first data detection unit 13A for detecting a test pattern from the multiplexing signal returned from the second station exchange system, and a first central processing system 2A, for obtaining the result of the circuital communication test between the first station exchange system and the second station exchange system, on the basis of the test pattern.
