PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile equipment that can stop redialing by surely informing the operator of the equipment of wrong call out when it is made to a telephone set. SOLUTION: This facsimile equipment has a voice-recording section which records voices on a line, a voice output section which reproduces and outputs recorded voices, and an operating section used for making various types of settings. When a designated destination is called and the line is connected to the destination, this equipment starts the recording of voices on the line by means of the voice recoding section, and when the equipment receives a procedure signal notifying facsimile transmission, erases the recorded voices and does not receive the procedure signal. When the facsimile transmission fails, this equipment does not erase the recorded voices, and when an input is made from the operating section, reproduces and outputs the recorded voices by means of the voice output section.
