CATALYST COMPRISING SULPHATED METAL OXIDE, PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF AND USE

The invention relates to a catalyst comprising at least one sulphated oxide of a metal from Group IV of the Periodical System of Elements and at least one metal from Group V and at least one metal from Group VIII which are supported on top of said sulphated metal oxide. The inventive method comprises: a) the sulphation of said support; b) the incorporation of the metallic component from Group V into the product from (a); c) the incorporation of the metal from Group VIII into the product from (b); d) the calcination of the product from (c); and e) the reduction of the calcinated product from (d). The invention also relates to the use of said catalyst in linear or cyclic paraffin isomerisation processes.
