The screening panel comprises plastics screening elements (5) arranged side by side and detachably fixed to supporting steel profiles (3) through a separate interposed plastics profile (11) formed as a profiled strip which has continuous engagement profiles (12,13,14) held by a wedged fastening strip (22) which fits into the plastics profile from above. The profiled strip has a continuously upwardly open channel-like indentation (18) to receive the wedged strip. The side walls of the indentation which enclose the engagement profiles are resiliently elastic relative to each other.
