摘要 A scintillator (1) is positioned in the beam path of ionizing radiation to be detected so that scintillation light is generated, the intensity of which is proportional to the dose or the irradiating beam. The scintillator is coupled to a measurement device (8) via a fiber optic cable (2) and the transmitted light measured. The light intensity transmitted from the scintillator is equal to the scintillation light and light from one or more other sources, e.g. Cerenkov radiation sources. An Independent claim is included for a device for measuring the dose from a high energy ionizing beam.
