PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extension number management method and system that can automate generation of an extension telephone number table. SOLUTION: Each company employee uses its possessed ID card to use an extension phone terminal and an exchange server can cross-reference an ID and an extension number of the telephone terminal. Furthermore, a personal name and a belonging organization name in an organization database are cross- referenced with the cross-referenced ID and extension number, and an extension number list is generated as an HTML file and open to public on a web. Since the extension telephone number and the person are cross-referenced in real time by each call, the system can be used for a person retrieval system in the company.
