摘要 The invention relates to hydrometallurgical processing of ore concentrates, more specifically to the processing of loparite and other titaniferous concentrates. Said invention can be successfully used for producing titanium dioxide of various applications, including the paint-and-varnish industry. The inventive method comprises high-temperature pyrolysis of a concentrate solution of fluorotitanous acid. The novelty of the invention consists in that metallic aluminium is added in the solution in a proportion of 0.15-1.5 % with respect to TiO2. Pyrolysis is carried out at a temperature of 500-700 DEG C. The thus obtained product is initially treated with lime milk until pH 6.5-7.0 is achieved, and afterwards modified by silicium gel in a proportion of 1:0.01-0.1 with respect to TiO2 in the solution. The novelty also lies in that the pyrolysate is diluted in water at the ratio of 1:3 between the solid and the liquid prior to treatment with lime milk, and agitated during 1.5-2.0 hours at a temperature of 40-50 DEG C.
