<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To brake a testing device in emergency braking without supplying power to a load electric motor in the testing device of a prime mover conducting performance testing by absorbing the output of the prime mover with the load electric motor. SOLUTION: An emergency braking device 24 is installed in a load shaft 18 combining the prime mover and the load electric motor. The emergency braking device 24 is fixed to a surface plate 14 and has an annular braking liner 26. A guide 30 extending in the radial direction is fixed to the load shaft 18, and a braking member 28 is arranged slidably on the guide 30. In normal operation, the braking member 28 is held in an evacuating position apart from the braking liner 26 by the magnetic force of an electromagnet 34. In the emergency braking, power supply to the electromagnet 34 is cut off, and the braking member 28 moves to the position coming in contact with the braking liner 26 by centrifugal force. Braking is conducted by the friction force between the braking liner 26 and the braking member 28.</p> |
