PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-durability and high-quality electrophotographic device by eliminating the image defect of a photoreceptor caused by peeling discharge in the case of removing developer from the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic device is equipped with at least an electrifying means, a latent image forming means, a developing means and a cleaning means for removing the developer remaining on the photoreceptor by a cleaning blade provided to abut on the photoreceptor, and the absolute value of the surface potential Vd (V) of the dark photoreceptor in a developing stage is reduced according as the surface speed PS (mm/sec) of the photoreceptor is increased. This image forming method is accompanied with such adjustment of Vd. It is desirable that the electrophotographic device is equipped with an exposure means for uniformly exposing the surface of the photoreceptor on a more upstream side than a cleaning position and on a more downstream side than a developing position. |
