PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin composition excellent in transparency, heat resistance, solvent resistance, resistance to the liquid crystal, adhesivity to an organic/inorganic film which can be used suitably as a liquid crystal display substrate and the like. SOLUTION: The composition comprises (a) a polyester resin of 99-1 pts.wt. being a polyester polymer comprising a dicarboxylic acid or its ester-forming derivative and a dihydroxy compound in which the acid contains a 2-7C aliphatic or alicyclic dicarboxylic acid and the compound contains a compound represented by the formula (1) [R1 , R2 , R3 and R4 are each a hydrogen or a 1-7C alkyl group, aralkyl group and they may be the same or different] and (b) a polyfunctional monomer having an unsaturated group of 2 or more of 1-99 pts.wt.
