SELF-ADHESIVE POLARIZING FILM AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-adhesive polarizing film having protective films on the both surfaces of a poralizer and further having a discotic liquid crystal layer and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer laminated on the surface of at least one of the protective films in this order and being excellent in self-adhesion property and durability of the self-adhesive and furthermore, being excellent in reworkability. SOLUTION: In the self-adhesive polarizing film having a protective film on at least one of the surfaces of a polirizer and further having a discotic liquid crystal layer and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer laminated on the surface of at least one of the protective films in this order, the adhesive polarizing film is characterized by having a >=40 mN/m surface free energy of the surface of the discotic liquid crystal layer being an interface between the discotic liquid crystal layer and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer side.
