PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinch detecting device for a window glass capable of easily preventing erroneous pinch detection based on the difference of the sliding resistance in the moving range of the window glass while maintaining high- precision pinch detection. SOLUTION: The moving range of the window glass is uniformly split into split areas. When pinches are continuously detected twice in the same split area at the closing operation of the window glass (Yes at S105), an arithmetic section changes the threshold coefficient used for the pinch judgment of the prescribed area including the split area from a normal threshold coefficient to a special threshold coefficient (S106). Since the special threshold coefficient is used for the pinch judgment in the split area having large sliding resistance, erroneous pinch detection is prevented. The normal threshold coefficient is used for the pinch judgment in other split areas on the other hand, and high- precision pinch detection can be maintained. |
