RUBBER COMPOSITION CONTAINING HALOGEN AND VULCANIZED PRODUCT OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition containing halogens having characteristics of good storage stability, high vulcanization rate while scorching being suppressed, where the composition is capable of forming a vulcanized product having an excellent resistance against heat aging and a small permanent strain due to compression. SOLUTION: The composition is prepared by mixing a rubber containing halogens such as an epihalohydrine-based rubber with an amorphous silicate of a metal belonging to the first or second groups of the periodical table such as an amorphous sodium silicate and an amorphous calcium silicate.
