OVERRUNNING CLUTCH OF STARTING MOTOR

PURPOSE: An overrunning clutch of a starting motor is provided to prevent leakage of lubricating oil supplied into an overrunning clutch and to smoothly perform operation of the overrunning clutch. CONSTITUTION: Projections for fixing and operating grooves are formed to the inner wall of an overrunning clutch housing equipped with a spline on the outer circumference. Rollers(5) and springs are elastically installed to the projections for fixing and operating grooves. A rotating shaft(7) is installed to the inside of the rollers. The housing and rotating shaft are fixed with a cover(8). An oil leakage protective unit is installed to a side of the rotating shaft and rollers to prevent leakage of lubricating oil supplied into the contact part(9) between the rollers and rotating shaft. In the oil leakage protective unit, a projection for fixing(10) is formed to the rotating shaft, and a conical washer(12) fixed to the projection for fixing(10) is installed between a washer(11) installed to the inside of the cover. Lubricating oil is prevented from leaking by the conical washer. An oil leakage protective projection is formed as an integrated shape, to shut off the lubricating oil supply unit with contacted with the roller. Therefore, leakage of lubricating oil is prevented.
