PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microphone assembly that shields an analog audio signal against the effect of EMI and has expanded compatibility, without the need for a decoupling capacitor. SOLUTION: A portable telephone 2 is provided with a microphone casing for shielding a microphone operating element 8, a microphone preamplifier 10 and an analog/digital converter 10, in order to eliminate undesirable EMI. A genuine digital DSP 14 is connected to the A/D converter 12 to process only a digital signal. The microphone transduces an acoustic signal into an analog audio signal, and the A/D converter 12 converts the analog audio signal into a digital output signal. The digital output signal is transmitted to the genuine digital DSP 14 for other processings.
