<p>Method for prodn. of lime in installations heated by liquid or gaseous fuels, in which an additive pref. contg. silica, ferrous oxides or alumina, more pref. heating generator cinders, ferrous minerls, rolling mill scale, steelwork fume dust, red mud from alumina prodn., blast furnace slag or bauxite, which melts at the temps. reached during firing of the lime is introduced into the limestone before treatment, pref. as it is charged into the furnace. The addition hardens the lime to avoid prodn. of fibres and damage to the lime in transport.</p> |
