PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for production in order to obtain an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet for an optical member without causing foaming and peeling at high temperatures or under high wet heat conditions even when used in the optical member having a large application area by using an adhesive mass composition without substantially containing water and a solvent. SOLUTION: This method for producing the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet comprises casting an acrylic adhesive mass composition comprising 100 pts.wt. of an acrylic monomer, 5-200 pts.wt. of an acrylic high-molecular weight polymer having >=100,000 Mw, 0.01-2 pts.wt. of a photopolymerization initiator and a crosslinking agent without substantially containing the water and solvent on a support, irradiating the cast composition with ultraviolet rays at 1-500 (W/m2) intensity so as to provide 5-20 wt.% of the amount of the residual monomer, carrying out photopolymerization and subsequently conducting drying by heating so as to afford <=5,000 ppm of the residual monomer.
