A dolly 1 for transporting multiple containers (figure 2) comprises of, two supports 2,3 pivotally connected possibly by means of a hinge 4, at least one wheel 7 located beneath each support, and support mechanisms 5,6 for supporting the containers on the upper surface of the supports. Wheels 8 are also provided along the pivot axis allowing the dolly to rotate through 360{ within a circle the diameter of which is the length of the two supports 2,3. By providing a hinge 4 between the two supports one of them may be folded substantially vertically when not required thus shortening the length of the dolly, with the container previously located upon the folded support being nested within the other container (figures 5A,5B). The support mechanisms 5,6 may include a screw thread located on a raised boss, and there is also disclosed further details of the hinge 4 which can lock the supports in their folded positions (claim 17). |
