PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container formed of synthetic resin which is capable of firmly closing and holding a lid in one operation. SOLUTION: The packaging container comprises a container body 1 integrally formed of a synthetic resin film, and a lid body 2 foldably connected to the container body 1 via a hinge 3. The container body 1 comprises a surface 11 horizontal to a peripheral edge of a mouth thereof, and a perpendicular piece 12 folded downwardly from the surface 11. The lid body 2 comprises a stepped part 21 in surface contact with the horizontal surface 11, and a riser piece 22 erected from an outer edge of the stepped part 21. An inner peripheral surface of the riser piece 22 is formed to be fitted to an outer peripheral surface of a mouth of the container 1. A part 12' adjacent to the hinge part 3 of the perpendicular piece 12 is formed at the angle closely in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the riser piece 22 when the lid is closed. A plurality of engagement recesses 23 are provided in an inner surface of the riser piece 22 remote from the hinge part 3 of the lid body 2, and a tip part of the perpendicular piece 12 is engaged with the engagement recesses 23 when the lid body 2 is closed. |
