PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side drive style rotary tiller which can till in a larger width than a distance between a pair of shaft supporters for supporting a tilling shaft and can further form ridges in the similar width. SOLUTION: A power transmission case 11 and a tilling shaft support bracket 12 are attached to a frame F in suspended states at a prescribed distance along the lateral direction orthogonal to a traveling direction, and the power transmission case 11 and the tilling shaft support bracket 12 are further pivotally supported on a tilling shaft S in states protruded outside the case 11 and the bracket 12, respectively. Positions for mounting tilling tines N on the protruded portions of the tilling shaft S can be changed, respectively, to adjust a tilling width.
